Q1. Who can access the Innovation Lab?

A: Access is granted to DKU faculty, staff, students, registered external students, and approved research/technical support personnel. All users must complete required safety training, sign policy agreements, and submit access applications before entering the lab.

Q2. How do I apply for Innovation Lab access?

A: You must (1) complete DKU safety training, (2) sign relevant agreements (Lab Access Guideline, Dry Lab Access Rules, Innovation Hub Policy and Safety Agreement), and (3) submit the InLab Access Application Form online. Approval takes up to 3 business days.

Q3. Can I use the Lab for personal projects not related to my course?

A: Yes, personal or extracurricular projects are allowed if reviewed and approved by InLab staff. Priority will always be given to academic and teaching activities. Commercial production or for-profit use is strictly prohibited.

Q4. What happens if I return borrowed equipment late?

A: Your lab privileges will be frozen immediately. You must submit a written explanation, and usage fees (0.01% of asset value per day) will be charged to your DKU account. If equipment is overdue by more than 1 year or until graduation, it will be deemed lost, and you must pay the full asset value.

Q5. What if equipment is damaged or lost during my use?

A: You are fully responsible for returning equipment and spaces in good condition. Repair costs will be based on authorized vendor quotes, and lost items will be charged at full asset value. If damages result from violations, additional disciplinary action will apply.

Q6. Am I allowed to bring my own materials or tools into the Lab?

A: No hazardous or unauthorized materials may be brought in. Any new materials, chemicals, or processes must be pre-approved with SDS documentation and reviewed by InLab staff for compatibility and safety.
