This installation presents Duke Kunshan University as a living, breathing environment through an interactive digital campus map. Each selected building is represented by a top-view cherry blossom whose blooming condition changes according to real-time environmental sensor data, specifically noise and light intensity. Instead of displaying graphs or statistics, the project translates environmental activity into soft visual transformations: flowers gradually bloom, partially open, or close depending on the atmosphere of each location. Users can hover over or click on flowers to explore additional environmental information and poetic descriptions of the building’s current state. Through this interaction, the installation aims to encourage viewers to experience data emotionally and spatially, turning the campus into a calm, immersive landscape where environmental changes are expressed through organic motion and visual metaphor.
