Drawing inspiration from traditional Islamic floral art, I engraved timeless motifs into soft parchment, then folded and twisted them into a spiral structure that blooms and contracts with a simple turn. As you rotate the center, it slowly unfurls or gathers, and the ancient patterns transform into flowing light and shadow, weaving and dancing gently through the surrounding space. This work addresses to reclaims the living quality of ancient motifs and invites viewers to actively shape the light around them.
