Cupacitive is a simple LED lamp designed with sustainability and minimalism in mind. With China consuming billions of cups a year, Cupacitive provides a creative way to reuse bubble tea cups and transforming it into a lamp. With 10 different color modes and a twelve-hour battery, it's sure to keep you *cup-*tivated for hours! It also features wireless charging and a touch-activated control scheme, creating a sleek figure that goes with any aesthetic.
Ideation began with rough hand-drawn sketches, then brought into OnShape for CAD modelling. Then, various light configurations and LEDs were tested. Eventually, an Arduino Nano-powered LED strip was chosen for its low voltage usage. Cups from various bubble tea stores were tested for the body of the lamp, with a cup from Auntea Jenny (沪上阿姨) was chosen for its frosted appearance and ease of print removal.
Note: Please stylize Cupacitive by italicizing only "cup".
